The National Registry of CPE Sponsors is a program offered by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) to recognize sponsors who offer continuing professional education in accordance with the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (2012) (Standards).
The National Registry of CPE Sponsors (National Registry) approves CPE providers for membership in the following instructional delivery methods:
The review and approval process for membership on the National Registry involves review of submitted materials from the CPE provider such as promotional materials/course announcements to potential participants; evaluation forms; certificates of completion; and course development information such as author and reviewer biographies/experience. The review and approval process also includes review of course materials for content and technical accuracy—this review is more rigorous for the group internet based and self study delivery methods.
The purpose and role of the NASBA Registry Reviewer is to review submitted programs (primarily in the group internet based and self study delivery methods) for technical accuracy and sufficiency for CPE credits.
NASBA is developing a roster of qualified Registry Reviewers with specialties in the areas of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation.
